21 Days to Joy- Day 2 Treat yo self 🤓

Hey loves!

I'm back for day 2, and I must admit that I'm super excited to have made it this far. I know, I know you're thinking it's only been 3 days! In my world, three days straight of self care is a miracle 🙌🏾. But anyway, today, I learned that it's important to "treat yo self!" In small and big ways, rewarding yourself is a great way to keep you on the right track.

Now if you know anything about me at all, you know that I'm a glam girl. I love The Lord and I love a matte lippie! If you want the way to my heart, start with food first 😜, have an outside of the box chat about God, then go glam shopping and we might be besties (just saying). I'm grateful that I understand that you really can be who you are and still worship. There is power in worship and connection with your creator no matter what you call Him. Now back to the treating my self, I love saying that, lol. I love a vibrant nail polish. I'm actually wearing bright yellow right now because what I really love is self expression. I can change my nail polish, clothes, lipstick, or turban to express myself differently and get great joy from it. I said all that to say that I had a very lovey chat with a sister today, and I believe that she felt my spirit because she put me on to these new halal nail polishes. Now if you're Muslim, you might have already heard of Maya Cosmetics nail polish. If you're not Muslim, you probably are wondering what in the world I'm talking about with this "halal nail polish." Well friends to be brief "halal" simply means permissible...meaning that God says that it's ok to have or do something. What makes a nail polish halal is whether or not water can penetrate it when preparing for prayer. Now that you're with me again 😂, that is what I will be treating myself with today. I can't wait to show off all of my new colors so stay tuned!

Before I leave you, I will say that the beauty of this process of finding joy is actually finding and embracing myself. Creating things and self expression is a huge part of who I am and the beauty of all of this isthat I can still express myself in ways that are permissible. For that, I am completely grateful!!

Until we meet again....seek your joy!
